Who We Are

Just People, Inc. (JPI) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping and empowering disadvantaged youth, the working poor, and the poor who want to work to be increasingly self-supporting.

We provide educational, vocational, and personal services to empower people to overcome barriers that inhibit them from living to their full potential. Services for adults are provided in Abilene, Texas. Services to youth are provided through Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas, funded by the West Central Texas Workforce Development Board and operated by Just People, Inc. Workforce Solutions offers assistance to low-income youth to obtain the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary for employment, economic independence, high wage careers and life-long learning. The program serves clients in a 19-county area, including Abilene, who face barriers to education and/or employment such as poor reading or math skills, homelessness, school drop-out, etc.
